28.10.13 Bad luck for Wolfgang Kaufmann and Porsche Kremer Racing

Once again, the North Loop of the Nürburgring greeted the 165 contestants of the German endurance championship's ninth race with typical „Eifel weather“.

Qualifying was postponed due to fog over the Grand Prix track. „Because of this delay, qualifying was shortened but under these conditions it was just the right decision by the race directors“, said Wolfgang Kaufmann.

Together with his new team mate David Schiwietz, the sportscar professional from the Westerwald went into the race from position 12 of the 4 hour race.

On his favourite track, Kaufmann started the race and then turned the Porsche 997 GT3 KR over to his team mate in an excellent 9th place overall. „Sadly, our luck ran out after another two laps when David had to park the Porsche out on the track with a technical failure. But now we will give everything in the season finale, to get that elusive, well-deserved class win in SP8 for our competitive team“, Kaufmann sums it up.
